Short Biography

Abdul Mannan Akand was a Bangladeshi plant pathologist and educator. He served as the former Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) and was a retired professor in the Department of Plant Pathology. He also held the position of Vice-Chancellor at a private university in Chapainawabganj, Exim Bank Agricultural University, in Bangladesh. In addition to these roles, he also served as a professor at UGC....Abdul Mannan Akand served as a long-time faculty member in the Department of Plant Pathology at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) in Bangladesh, engaging in teaching and research. Alongside, he held various important responsibilities, including being a member of the university's Syndicate, Academic Council, and Recruitment Committee, as well as serving as a Proctor, Dean, and Head of the department. He was also a former member of the University Grants Commission (UGC) in Bangladesh. From 2009 to 2013, he held the position of Vice-Chancellor at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, and from 2013 to 2016, he was the Vice-Chancellor of Exim Bank Agricultural University, located in Chapainawabganj, Bangladesh. Additionally, he also served as a professor in the UGC. ..
